The Dr Locs color line has completely revived my locs 🥲 I had thick and long locs down below my waist until a bad color job by a loctician completely took the life out of my babies! They went from being healthy to thinning, dry, and brittle. I pretty much had to grow them anew to get a healthy head of hair again 😔

Even after my locs had grown to where the amount of new hair outnumbered the old locs, they still didn’t feel like they were thriving— until this super moisturizing, no build up line!

Here’s my process:
- i either use the og Dr Locs shampoo or the rose and lavender color line shampoo. I wash three times i.e. until the locs themselves have a good lather and feel clean
- then I put the alma extract conditioner on with some heated almond oil (on scalp + the locs themselves), cover my hair with a plastic bag (if you know, you know lol), and rinse after at least 20 minutes (but I leave that bad boy on for hours if I have the time)
- i wrap a micro fiber towel around my locs for at least 20 minutes (this keeps me from needing to use a dryer after retwisting)
- after removing the towel, I steam my hair with a handheld steamer, apply some Dr Locs YaYa oil around my scalp and spray the Dr Locs hydrating spray, and steam a final time
- finally, i retwist with the Dr Locs locking spray
- (and for a lil extra tip, throughout the week in between washes, I spray my scalp and locs with some organic rose hydrosol water to keep them moisturized 😉)

This is my weekly or bi-weekly hair ritual 🌹

And my hair is no longer colored but I will continue to use this line 👌🏿

I’ve made a lot of mistakes along the way, and this is the routine that having locs for over a decade has taught me and I’m happy to share it with you for whoever it ends up benefiting 😌

Now, my girls are actually even healthier than they were before that disaster color job. That experience taught me to be waaaaayyyy more discerning and now I really care for them even better. And I do so with this product line. I’m so grateful for it 🙏🏿 Thank you, Dr Locs!!! 🥰

I don’t even know where to begin. This was such a wonderful experience. I came in with a migraine that I’ve had since yesterday and I was worried that getting my hair done would make it worse but I don’t even feel like I got my hair done.
My scalp doesn’t feel inflamed & weighed down by heavy products but it feels calm and clean, like it can breathe.
I am so thankful for Chimere. I don’t trust anyone else with my locs.
